Hi and welcome, my name is Kathy and I'm the owner of The Primitive Handmade Directory. I'm a fellow maker of handmade primitives myself. I have been in the business for over 20 years. My handmades can be seen at Kittredge Mercantile were I sell old, new and handmade. A general line of antiques, repurposed items, street finds and one of a kind. I specialize in handmade primitives. Hence the idea of a primitive handmade directory. Actual I can't take credit for the idea of the directory, it was my youngest son's idea. I get tons of help and support from my husband and two sons. Yes I said sons. My sons know more about crafting, sewing, stuffing, staining, sanding, shopping then most. I couldn't do what I do without them. Like I said I have been in the business for over 20 years and they have been with me the whole way.
Let me share a story. When my youngest was about four we were on are way to South Dakota for a antique auction. That was when he learned to spell Antiques. I wrote the letters on a piece of paper and his job was to look for shops along the way, so of course we could stop and shop. So anything that started with a A he pointed out. Then we went to AN and so no. We had fun with that the whole way there. In our travels we have been to quite a few places anylong the way, like The Statue Of Liberty, Fields Of Dreams, The Alamo to name a few. Like I've said before I'm one lucky girl. Even though my oldest says I'm far from being a girl. Okay I'm one lucky woman.
